The Academic Living Center
Through a competitive application process, Sigma Phi Epsilon was awarded this Academic Living Center in February, 2012. Beginning in Fall 2012, 28 members of our organization have inhabited this house on the University of Rochester Fraternity Quad. Our ALC mission is to build balanced leaders and promote leadership potential throughout the undergraduate community. We're doing this by facilitating student to student, student to faculty, and student to community activities.
Our ALC functions as a peer based academic support hub open for all students who wish to utilize the center’s educational resources and embrace it as an alternative academic study space. Students and student organizations can reserve our first floor and library for meetings, programs, lectures and any other activity related to student leadership.
Our house features the following spaces on the first floor which can be used by members of the University community:
Library & Conference Room (105): This study space is configured in a conference room style with sturdy tables, 14 person seating. and a mounted 50-inch presentation screen. Past uses include:
